Postdoctoral positions become available periodically under a variety of research grants and projects. The specific fields of interest include, but are not limited to

  • Synchrophasor-based, Reduced-order Power System Frequency Control Models,

  • Frequency control-constrained Power System Economic Operation,

  • Distribution Tariff Models to Integrate Distributed Generation,

  • Robust control and estimation design to LPV dynamical systems, in special descriptor systems,

  • Application of robust control approaches in Power Electronics or Power System stability,

  • Modular Multilevel Converters for drive applications,

  • Technologies for large Power Wind Energy Conversion Systems,

  • Power Converters for distribution networks and Solid State Transformers

  • Power Electronics for electromobility, fast chargers and drives.

  • Wireless communications, cognitive communications or cooperative communications,

  • Energy efficiency in wireless networks

  • Physical Layer Security and  robust transmission schemes.

Applicants should have finished your Ph.D. after January 2015; evidence of the ability to pursue an independent program of research is required. The positions are available for a minimum of one year as full-time 12-month appointments based on need, performance and funding, with renewal possible for a maximum of three years.
