The Department of Electrical Engineering at University of Santiago, Chile, is seeking candidates for postdoctoral positions in the field of electrical engineering.

The Department of Electrical Engineering at University of Santiago, Chile (http://www.die.usach.cl) is seeking candidates for postdoctoral positions in the field of electrical engineering. Currently, two different ways of funding are open for applications. Applicants shall be sponsored by the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Santiago of Chile.

1.- ANID Post doctorate Call:

Benefits:

a.- $22.608.000 CLP (Chilean Pesos) Gross Salary per year, subject to legal discount of 10,75% taxes.

b.- $4.500.000CLP per year for travel expenses and any operational cost.

c.- $3.000.000CLP for installation cost. (Only once payment)

 Main Conditions:

a.- Deadline for application September 24th 2020, 16:00 hours of continental Chile

b.- The postdoc should start in April 15th 2021.

c.- Duration: 2 or 3 years

d.- PhD must be obtained from 01.01.2017 until 01.10.2020 (recently graduated PhDs). If you became father/mother during that period of time, there is an extension of 1 year, i.e. from 01.01.2016.

e.- If it were a foreign postdoctoral candidate, he/she must have a work visa and identity card prior to September 24th 2020. The resident visa must be included in the annexes section of your application. In case of adjudication, you must present residency documentation that allows you to receive resources.

2.- USACH Postdoctorate Call:

Benefits:

a.- $13.800.000CLP Gross Salary per year, subject to legal discounts of 10,75% taxes.

Main Conditions:

a.- Deadline for application October 9th 2020, 13:00 hours of continental Chile

b.- Duration: 1 year

c.- PhD must be obtained from 01.01.2017 until 30.11.2020 (recently graduated Phds).
The applicant must have the Doctor degree at the time of application for the Contest.

d.- If it were a foreign postdoctoral candidate, he must have a work visa and identity card prior to April 15, 2021.
